Create an itinerary including Tkalciceva Street
Sit in one of the many cafes or restaurants on Tkalciceva Street and experience the spirit of old Zagreb. The street developed from the stream valley between the capital city's two oldest settlements, Gradec and the Capitol. The center of Zagreb's earliest industry, the street hosted manufacturers of cloth, soap, paper, liqueurs, and leather during the 18th and 19th centuries. Browse the galleries and boutiques, which continue the tradition of old craftspeople and merchants. Try to tell time with the old sundial and see the statue of Marija Juric Zagorka, the first Croatian female journalist. • A lot of cafe's on 1 street. Most of the chairs were taken, so i recommend eating early. Many of the cafe's also serve the same food.
