Makarounas Boutique Winery, Letymvou

This is a 20 minute drive from Paphos up the hills. It's well worth the drive if you have a car rental. Absolutely stunning views. We went to the vineyard on a Wednesday but they serve wine and small platters of food at the weekends. Price of wine very reasonable

Unforgettable experience. Top notch wines, and freshly made food. Tried both the pizza and the platter and nothing to fault. Had the chance to try amazing wines. I highly recommend the Minthy rosè. Theodoros and Stelios made sure everything was perfect. Highly recommended

We are locals and have enough experience to say that this winery is a 5-star wine producer. The winery is located in Letimbou village. You’ll be invited to have a tour around the wine workshop. You’ll see the process of making wine, especially during autumn season. We were surprised with the size of all premises: it’s a really boutique winery. But the main thing that distinguishes Makarounas from the rest is the grape. They use ONLY the grape that was grown on there own fields. They don’t buy grape from other farmers. And the result is fantastic. About 70% of there wine got medals and was marked by specialists. After a tour you can sit outside with a glass of wine or you can order a tasting. I recommend to take a meze plate to accompany the wines. Home made pizza and some food are also available on site. At the end you’ll be treated with a shot of zivania with shoushouko. Makarounas wines are really a gem. Strongly recommend for visiting!

AMAZING!! We had wine tasting at the Winery, we took the 5 wines route, and when finished we upgraded to the full route. Wines are very good at an affordable price. But the real gift was the hospitality, Theodore (who preduces the wine) was a charming, warm and genuine host. Highly recommended.
