An old Ottoman roadside inn, Buyuk Han has a mosque in its courtyard, and several art galleries within its walls. Built in 1572, it served as a prison during the British colonization era, and became a hostel for the poor in 1893. The complex stands two stories tall, and has 68 rooms and 10 shops. You'll see a mosque at the center of the courtyard, erected on marble piers. Browse through quaint shops all around the site, which sell spices, sweets, and souvenirs. Lovely small market square in the sun. Lots of local craft shops . Coffee shops and restaurants. Loved sun trap . There is a clean toilet here but you have to pay 5 lira .
