  • Sizewise this is more of a small chapel. There is not a surface anywhere that isn't covered with exquisite artwork associated with Orthodox Church. The entire complex is important for many reasons.....  more

  • Whilst quite unassuming on the outside, the inside is quite remarkable. The painted ceilings are quite staggering and the alter is incredibly ornate. Worth a visit.

  • Nice a small church from the 14th century, rebuilt into the monastery in 1662. From 18th century converted into a cathedral and the seat of the Orthodox Archbishopric in Cyprus. Free entrance...

  • Amazing inetrior. If you want to see geerk church church decoration style, go and check this cathedral.
  • Amazing place. Really small and compact and the frescos from the 16/17th century are out of this world. Shane no photos allowed
  • I wasn’t inside , but outside it looks nice . Especially with these small flags 😁
  • Nice church (officially it is a cathedral) with a lot of history. Sadly no photos or videos allowed inside.
  • What we saw in exactly 2 minutes in the church was beautiful. It is a pity, however, that they employ an absolute j*** to let in visitors, and in the course of barely 3 hours today he managed to repel us twice! We came some minutes before 11 and just dropped the money into the box, when he shouted us out, saying he was closing for "only 10 minutes". We had to leave, and when we returned about 2 pm he was sitting in the car opposite the open church doors, and again shouted at us that it was closed and will open in "only 10 minutes". We are never going back there, for sure and they should find someone decent to work with people who want to visit this historic site.
