A great excursion in a breathtaking gorge. It was quite a hot day, but very shady and cool in the gorge. We drove with our rental car to a small church, but the last part we preferred to walk to the car park and the entrance to the gorge, because the road was a bit too adventurous for our taste. Our KIA would probably not have been able to cope. We hiked up the gorge for about 50 minutes, had a picnic and then hiked back the same way. If you’re lucky you spot wild goats and the red dragonfly. Better wear good shoes and take water and snacks with you - there is a taverna nearby but it is another walk away. Recommend, recommend!

We never did a hike like this before. But “you haven’t seen Cyprus if you did not do this trail” so we wanted to try it. The road towards the parking area already is a challenge. Many holes and bumps in the road. Some very steep hills. Challenging to drive. We decided to walk the last part to the parking. We parked the car at the sign of the restaurant. The last part just was too steep for my taste. The trail itself is gorgeous! You do need good shoes because you have to climb many rocks. But the views are beautiful! We did not do the entire trail. Halfway we turned around and went back. On the way back everything looks different so it did not feel that we walked the same path twice. Recommended !!! On the way back we stopped for a brief moment at the turtle beach

Great experience, even in the month March, it was a rainy week. Some parts we had to take off our shoes but for the rest all fine, climbing over rocks in the beautiful nature. Very extreme walk/climb

Amazing nature experience! Better use hiking shoes and stick. Kids can visit with many cautions. Best time to go is early morning since there is little people and no hot sun. Overall it is a great way to spend your morning-midday. Google maps show an off road way for some meters. And you need to walk the downhill in order to find the gorge's entrance. Better use the Lara beach road.

Turtle Beach, here the turtles arrive in July and August. The females lay their eggs in a hole 50 cm deep. These are very soft eggs that will not break when laid. The little turtles go to the sea after 7 weeks, a unique natural phenomenon. The turtles already know how to get to the sea when they leave the egg, a nice place to visit
