Don't come to the Troodos Mountains without visiting Mount Olympus. Even in Autumn it was spectacular, views for mile and a bizarre experience of looking at signs for ski runs and snow ploughs...

Drove up the mountain and the higher we got the more snow covered the forest. The views were beautiful and crisp, and the gushing water in some of the springs was amazing We couldn’t get to the top...

Road by car to the top very nice. Parking 700m away and then you can walk to top. On top - no view as there is military base. Better view on way.
This is one place you must visit on Cyprus. But don't just go to get to the top of Mount Olympus as there is an RAF base there. Just down from this there are some fantastic hikes and lots of good restaurants. If you have you own car, there are some lovely scenic drives around the mountain, especially if you go towards the north coast.
Surreal experience of walking in the snow in the morning and swimming in the sea in the afternoon. You can ride up to the top and enjoy the views of being over the clouds!
This was definitely one of the many highlights from our trip to Cyprus We visited over the New Years holiday and there was plenty of snow to enjoy. We had hope to go snowboarding but the area wasn’t open quite yet for this. We paid a few Euros and road the ski lift up to eat lunch on some rocks. We were told mid January the area would open for skiing. The military base does take up the highest points but there is plenty to see and do otherwise. I disagree with other reviews because we were delighted by the views from the short hikes we took from the road were we we able to stop and park our car. We didn’t buy anything because we brought lunch but there was food and drink for sale. The car ride was fantastic through beautiful maintained paved roads all the way from the Paphos area
During winter time there is snow and other time of the year you see the mountains in the valley and clouds and the blue sky
