Step behind the Iron Curtain with a visit to Museum of Communism, dedicated to the story of ordinary Czechs struggling for democracy in the decades following World War II. Established in 2001 by businessman Glenn Spicker, the museum is located in an 18th-century palace near the center of the city. Spicker gathered many of the displayed artifacts, which include photographs and military objects, at flea markets and junk shops in and around Prague. The museum's three galleries offer visitors a fully immersive experience, complete with film screenings and educational lectures. Start your exploration at the museum's reconstructed classroom, offering insight into a day in the life of a Communist-era schoolchild. Really nice museum. Good info. But I thought it could be a bit more detailed info. For the “fast content” it could be a bit cheaper on tickets.

The museum tells u a visual story of what communism and the soviet influence did to Czechia and Eastern Europe in general. I loved how detailed it described historical events but also the day-to-day life in the communist Czechia. Visit and allocate enough time to reflect.

Great Museum! Very interesting history and facts. It truly brings to life the spirit of Communism. Maybe a little biased to the West but that's understandable. Definitely visit if you have the time.

As a human geographer and trained sociologist, it was great to have found this museum. I got a student discount as a PhD researcher and i enjoyed reading the history of communism from the perspective of old Czechoslovakia. Really enlightening
-
A great deal of detail all provided by 70 individual written postings throughout the museum. I loved the depth of information given but, after a day of walking miles of cobblestone streets, I did not enjoy standing next to each wall panel to read the history. Go with fresh feet and plan on spending time reading the history. The historic images and items were a nice break from the written information but I'm afraid that most of the information provided would be basic to anyone who has studied the history of communication in Czechoslovakia.

It was a big and intriguing story about the past in Czech Republic. Many small stories and objects to see. Also some fascinating stories from people. I would suggest adding more chairs close to the stories told by some people, considering some would take 5+minutes, which might be hard for some older people. Still highly recommend giving it a visit, especially if you are into history
