Find out more about Bohemian Gothic, Rudolphian, Baroque art at St. George's Basilica. Prince Vratislav I founded the church in the tenth century, but the facade you see is the result of the early Baroque reconstruction. Inside the austere and monumental interior of the basilica, notice the walls, which were rebuilt in Romanesque fashion, and the high ceilings made of a deep, dark wood. Decorative windows provide atmospheric lighting--an ideal setting for the occasional classical music concerts held here. Head to the main nave to see the tombs of the members of the Premyslid dynasty of princes. Visit the adjacent Gothic chapel to look at the tomb of St. Ludmila, the widow of the ninth-century ruler Prince Borivoj. A continuity with the other attractions here, there is very little information to be read about the attractions within. There is a paragraph of information for every 3-5 attractions which leaves you wondering about the significance behind a lot. There is a lot of sitting room which is a good rest stop for anyone in their feet all day, but the attractions were crowded and there honestly wasn’t much to see. If you have time, see what this small place has to offer (look at the attached for references), but don’t plan your trip around it and don’t expect too much.

Roman church on Hradczany, the first church on it’s place was built in 920. The monastery that is situated near the church was responsible for educating the royal family. After the year 1500 the facade of church got renaissance look, and after 1670 it was completely made into baroque style. The interior remains Roman though, the church is right now the main place for organ concerts in Prague. In the church there are also some graves of people from the royal family.

-
cute but very little, it's only worth it because it's already included on the ticket, otherwise it wouldn't be a place where I've would've spent my money!
-
When you buy your 250 czk ticket you have several options! The best was this basilica, much more simple and less eye-fatiguing! I enjoyed it very much!
