Dating back to 1719, Synagoga Turnov is a stone building erected in what was the corner section of the city's Jewish Quarter. The architecture remains an example of late Baroque in Bohemia. Look especially for the wooden tablets of the covenant, and the menorah. A gate below a stone staircase leading to the women's gallery will take you to a side courtyard, where you'll find a statue of the creature Golem.   • Small but very emotive, beautiful place.Very easy to reach. Well restored building, and the statue of the golem is breath-taking. Pitty there is almost no explanation in english.

  • The synagogue is located in walking distance from main square. You can follow signs, but it is easy to overlook as it is hidden among other buildings. So search for a gate with Star of David on top...
