For a free lesson about Denmark's rich plant life, visit Botanical Garden, an oasis of greenery in the city's central district. The extensive park encompasses more than 10 hectares (24 acres) and serves both educational and recreational purposes. A complex of 27 greenhouses are historic buildings from the 1870s that now shelter domestic and exotic plant species, including palms, cacti, orchids, and begonias. A special climate-controlled greenhouse recreates the habitat suitable for growing Arctic plants, while another building protects a large collection of cycad plants, some of which are more than a century old. Nicely planted garden with a central lake. However, currently under renovation so only about half the garden is open. Whilst the gardens are free, there is a change of 60k to visit the Palm house...

Arriving early at 9:30 am on a very windy morning, I toured its outside garden areas. There is a small pond where one can walk around it. There is also and hilly garden with some blooming flowers...

Oh, what an amazing places to relax. If you enjoy nature and being surrounded by magnificent plants you need to be here. There are many additional green houses to visit such as Butterfly house or Tropical one but you need to pay the fee. Loved that garden - go.

This was such a beautiful experience, we bought a ticket for 48 hours for the palm house butterfly house, natural museum of history and the zoological museum. We spent about an hour and a half here, there were so many species of plants and butterflies and as a plant lover this was heaven to me.. would 100% recommend visiting this place.

I found this botanical garden to be fairly interesting and unique. The palm house was great and had many different plant species. You can also climb up the stairs to see everything from high up because some of the plants reach the roof. They also offer a cheaper ticket to the botanical garden and the national history museum which I would also advise to visit. There were also butterflies and some frogs we saw. Worth the visit.

Eeally nice place to chill out on a sunny day. The garden is well maintained, there is a big variety of plants and there are also small museums inside. You can spend some time next to the lake, walking around or even sit down on the grass. The garden open at 8.30, earlier than most of the attractions of the city of Copenhagen, so you can start your day there. You will not regret it for sure.

Absolutely spectacular, even on a chilly November day! Well worth paying to go into the big greenhouse, there are so many weird and wonderful plants to see. One of my favourite things to do in Copenhagen for sure!
