At Kongens Have, walk the Knight's Path, a lime-tree avenue which intersects the Lady's Path near the center of the park. King Christian IV established a pleasure garden in the Renaissance style  in 1606, which was redesigned in the Baroque style in the 18th century. The oldest and most visited park in the city features statues, monuments, and several historical buildings, including Rosenborg Barracks, home to the Royal Guards. Look for the oldest sculpture in the garden of a lion with a humanoid face which is tearing apart a horse. The early 17th century sculpture most likely illustrates a Persian legend about the battle between light and darkness. • Pleasant to place to wander, especially early in the morning. Plenty of paths to follow. Good for bird watching.

  • An oasis in the middle of beautiful Copenhagen! The King's Garden is a beautiful park all around the year, since it's well taken care of, thus plenty of people visit daily. It is located in central Copenhagen, it is also right next to Rosenborg Castle. It has a couple information points that take you through the history and the functions of the royal gardens. I recommend visiting it in fall because the trees are changing colors and it’s a beautiful autumn scene around this time. The entire neighborhood around the gardens is also quite nice and a nice add on are the small coffee spots at the entrance, where you can grab a cup before or after strolling though the park.
  • Beautiful garden / park , abundance of green in the city . Well maintained and very clean. Lots of family and children playing. Super relaxing and perfect for a stroll or walk your dogs. Love it on a sunny day.
  • Lovely, well-kept gardens with an historic palace at the heart. A beautiful rose garden which is designed by the former King's gardener. Well-used by locals for relaxing, having some drinks or playing games.
  • A beautiful, peaceful large park in the center of the city. We came here to spend a quiet morning and ended up seeing the royal guard march while playing their instruments. We could not enter the castle but the walk in the park was good enough.
  • It is a very nice place to rest. very nice park. Actually, it would be. I have bad luck and saw hordes of Danish teenagers behave like barbarians. It is just a shame - top EU salary, top state happiness, disgusting uncivilized behavior, trash everywhere. I was shocked. It is just stupid and a great pity. Big shame for the Danish people and Denmark.
