Conveniently located in the center of the city, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek houses the personal art collection of beer baron Carl Jacobsen. The eclectic museum boasts the largest collection of Rodin sculptures outside of France, as well works by masters like Picasso, Leger, and Matisse. Although antique sculptures serve as a kind of focal point for most visitors, this museum also contains one of the world's biggest collections of paintings by Paul Gauguin. An added treat for art lovers, the venue features a glass-domed conservatory housing a small cafe that serves light dishes and cakes. Take a self-guided tour of the collection, or attend one of the museum's special concert performances. Plan my Copenhagen trip by asking Klarna Trips to come up with tips and suggestions.

Big museum/gallery with a nice inside garden space. Great place to spend a few hours if it’s raining or cold. They don’t do free Tuesday anymore sadly.

Great museum. Large variety of art and sculptures from all over the world. There was a lovely free clay class, where you made your own little tile. That was a very fun surprise. The area inside is gorgeous and there are over 20 rooms full of art, so it will take quite a bit of your time to see it all. But definitely recommend going here, it was very nice.

Amazing museum with sculptures and paintings from different decades and most of them from Danish artists. Really nice journey through the museum passing by the beautiful greenhouse located at the center of the building with lots of greenery from all over the world. Marvelous atmosphere and a must see place to take some nice pictures 😜

Wow. This museum is beautiful, way bigger than you think from the outside building. And I think we even missed some rooms, there are so many everywhere! If you're a sculpture aficionados, then this place is for you! The entry in the greenhouse is the most beautiful entry I've seen, ever. The current exhibition is around art renovation and is worth the visit!

I’d say it’s a must visit if you are into art. It’s a beautiful museum with a large collection of Greek, Roman and Egyptian sculptures and artifacts. They also have art pieces of Danish artists. The museum isn’t too big and 2/3 hours should be enough to see everything. Their winter garden is absolutely stunning and there you can find a cafe which has nice drinks and pastries. If you are on a low budget, consider visiting it on Tuesdays because the admission is free (for everyone!).

Comprehensive antiquities collection with extensive Greek, Roman and Egyptian sculpture and artifacts. There is also a large, diverse collection of Danish artists and sculptors. There are also rotating exhibits as well. Museum is huge and spread out so plan for a lot of walking and there are a lot of stairs to the different levels. Also has an excellent cafe with drinks and lunch food served until 3:00 pm. The pastries are excellent. Tuesdays are free admission. You can pay for a locker as small backpacks and bags have to be stored and cannot be taken into the exhibits.
