  • Amazing historic sculptures, but what brought us there was the amazing Sean Scully exhibition, featuring contemporary oversized sculptures and paintings. Great value if you have the CPH Card.

  • Very interesting museum. I always wondered about how marble statues were made. Thorvaldsens’ collection has so many stunning pieces. I also appreciated that since this was our third museum of the day, there were plenty of benches to sit and admire the works. Really beautiful creations.
  • If you love sculptures then this is the place to come apart from Glyptotek. From Apollo, Venus to the modern ones, it has all the beautiful sculptures and it will take your breath away!
  • This is a 5/5, awesome museum. Highly recommended, if you're in the area. The sculptures are beautiful, the architecture of the museum is great and it's a nice size. However, I'm forced to remove one star for the terrible companion app. There's an audio guide in there which is well written spoken by a good voice actor but for some reason you can't play the sound without it using the proximity sensor on your phone to determine if you have it on your ear. It's like the app developer forgot about the existence of headphones?! You literally can't press play unless you cover the proximity sensor 😓 I tried to deactivate it but theres not setting to turn it off... Also - entrance apparently is free on Wednesday. Very good deal!
  • This is a cool museum - almost entirely statue, all featuring the same prolific artist. VC very photogenic and well tended. It was very quiet when we visited.
  • Loved it. We bought a ticket to the Copenhagen museum and this was included if you visited within 48 hours. I'm not sure we would have visited otherwise but it was well worth it and would be worth just buying a ticket for here. For the best experience I would recommend downloading the app and scanning the qr code in each room with details of the displays. Free audiobook were advertised to collect from the ticket booth. Small refreshment stand, but plenty of choice and seating in the main hall made for a spectacular break in our visit. Great place
