Set some time aside for fun and games at Tivoli Gardens, the second-oldest amusement park in the world. Established in 1843, the park sits in the heart of the city and offers not only traditional amusement rides and carnival games, but also flower gardens, food pavilions, and open-air shows. The most-visited amusement park in Scandinavia, this large venue attracts the majority of its visitors after dusk, when the lights come on and the area becomes one big stage for a range of cultural activities. Be sure to try a few roller coaster rides, but leave plenty of time for a show at the park's world-famous pantomime theater, built in the 1870s by celebrated architect Vilhelm Dahlerup. Also there, H.C. Anderson Statue. To visit Tivoli Gardens on your holiday in Copenhagen, and find out what else Copenhagen has to offer, use our Copenhagen.

  • Nice amusement park. Not very big but right in the city centre. Beautiful decorations for Halloween and lovely restaurants. Some restaurants are very expensive. They have menus outside so no nasty surprises. A few good rides. Some are very scary. We went in November in the afternoon. The queues for the rides took about 20min. The weather was a bit cold. They have some shops too. Our friends found something to buy there. If you like the rides, you can easily spend all day in the park.
  • This place is amazing. You can see how it inspired Walt Disney. You can walk around to enjoy the fine food and gardens without riding a ride. The food is high quality, not fast food. The shops are as nice as the ones found in town. As for the rides, the views from the tall swings are amazing. The ride on the old rollercoaster is fun and quite historic. The park changes clothes at night :-)
  • 🎡🎢🎠It's a very nice theme park with lots of interesting rides. I was so excited and having so much fun that I didn't take many pictures.😆 But the best for me is The tallest ride in the amusement park I don't know what it's called, but it has seats like swing and it goes up and spins. Above, there is a very beautiful view overlooking the whole of Copenhagen.🇩🇰
  • Stunning place. Relaxing and just a great place to visit. An oasis in the city centre. Gardens / Theme park, choose what you prefer or both. Either way it's got a relaxed atmosphere. If you visit Copenhagen this needs to be on your jobs list.
  • Fantastic park! The rides are great. The staff always nice and helpful. The concerts every evening during our visits were wonderful. The different restaurants are extremely inviting. (Not the typical low quality food eateries). The gardens are beautifully decorated with flowers and fountains. Everything is super clean. Worth a visit for adults and kids!
