  • I love this place & have a membership! I have been there almost half a dozen times. Love the exhibitions, the painting & drawing area for kids (I have done it too), sitting in the garden outside or in the restaurant overlooking the sea, getting the sun, enjoying sumptuous meal with your loved ones! It’s a whole experience. Must visit if you are coming to Copenhagen. I live here but I love it so much I have a membership 🙂
  • What a beautiful museum! I went there during my stay in Copenhagen and loved every moment I stayed there. The selection of artists and works is great and everything is so beautifully displayed in this amazing building where you can navigate between inside expositions and outside to either watch a piece of art, have a coffee or a snack or bask in the sun. I may dare to say, one of the most beautiful museums I’ve visited.
  • What a lovely place! Great architecture, wonderful outdoors, good food and of course incredible art. We spent here two hours since we were on a timetable, but we will reserve more time for our next visit. You can easily get there from Copenhagen by train. The walk from the train station is less than 1 km. If you come by car and the museum's parking lot is full, you can leave the car next to the train station and walk.
  • Absolutely worth your time! The museum building itself is a piece of art, surrounded by beautiful scenery. The exhibitions were interestingly curated. There is a good balance between super heavy content and the instagrammable area. The museum shop is definitely one of the best I've been to so far, packed with tons of interesting stuff. Highly recommended.
  • I am going to be fair. I am not a lover of modern art, but I think even if you aren’t there will be something for you at this museum. Plus it is a beautiful stop outside of Copenhagen. This is included on the Copenhagen Card, including the train ride up. Once you arrive at the stop there are plenty of signs pointing you in the right direction. I would recommend eating at the cafe which was fantastic and had some great views of the water. If you want to sit out on the lawn they have a second cafe spot to grab drinks or food away from the main cafe. I would also recommend if you are going to do the museum that you add in Kronburg castle. We stopped there first and it was only 3 stops away. It made for a pretty full day between the two stops and a late lunch at the cafe.
