Odense is a nice place and if wander around the town you most likely would get to its cathedral of St Knuds. In addition it's a birthplace of HC Andersen.

We did not plan it but arrived in time for the mid-day service (Middagsandagt). The deacon at the entranceway invited us to join the service, even though we didn't speak Danish. "The music carries the message". I didn't understand much until the Lord's Prayer at the end but glad we could join the service and grateful for the opportunity. And yes, impressive architecture, history, crypts, etc. Off topic but notice the bike path and pedestrian friendly area around the church and how Odense seamlessly preserves the old and integrates the new. Beautiful and the way to live.

Nice old brick church, the main church of Odense. Located near the nice square in front of the city hall. A great example of the Brick Gothic architecture.
-
An iconic structure in Odense. Must visit as the interior is such an amazing work of architecture.
-
A beautiful cathedral in Odense built in red brick. It is light inside and hosts the remainings of the Saint Knud.
