Macao Surf Camp, Punta Cana

BEST TIME EVER!! These guys are great!! Our family of 4 had so much fun!! Seriously, they picked us up from our Punta Cana resort as well as dropped us off once we were done. These men are patient, nice, encouraging, and above all else they want you to have fun! As a testament to their character, as we were leaving there was a woman (not with the school, out on her own) out in the water that hit a bad wave, she was struggling on every level. 2 of the guys sprung to action, jumped in and were able to get to her before the Lifegaurd even saw her, they most likely saved her life!!! Once it was time to go I had an issue paying, as they can't take Amex on the beach. They were so nice, they were only concerned that we had a great time, no worries of the $460 I owed them! Thankfully, they have PayPal and Zell so it was all straightened out without worry once we got back to the hotel and had cell service. This was my family's favorite excursion to date! I could not recommend this business more! The only thing I would have changed is I would have paid for the photos and drone video when it was offered at the begining of our stay...I was being cheap and now I am sorry.

We came with a group of 11 people (a few cancelled last minute & it was not a problem!) 1:1 teaching with great tips to stand up. The team did an amazing job making sure we all were able to get up and surf!! So much fun and high quality business. I would go again and highly recommend!! Giovanni the photographer took amazing pictures and even used a drone to catch video and photo footage. 5 star business!!

We had such a great time surfing here and getting away from our resort! Alejandro and Miguel were our instructors and we felt safe and confident with them! Great place for beginner surfing! They were easy to communicate with and organized hotel pick up too! Loved the little bar right next door! All they now need is some room rentals close by for those that don't want to stay at resorts on the beach lol We will be back just for the surfing! 😊

We had an excellent time at our surf lessons. The staff were extremely responsive to our questions prior to the appointment. The instruction on land was very quick and then you are right into the water and trying to surf. If you have any concerns, need a break, or have any fear in the water definitely talk to your instructor. They were very accomodating and helpful. The instructors help you fine tune your technique and we were surprised that we were actually able to stand up and ride a couple of waves, which was much better than our expectations going in. Transportation to and from local hotels was included in the price and we only had to communicate our pickup spots. There is the option for pictures and video with a drone. The video and pictures are great, but will cost almost as much as the actual booking so budget accordingly if you want evidence of your surfing attempts. We would 100% recommend Macao Surf Camp to anyone looking for a fun adventure for a couple of hours on their vacation.
