Create an itinerary including Calle Las Damas
Amble down Calle Las Damas, a historic thoroughfare said to be the oldest street in the New World. The colonial residences that line the street have been converted into cultural attractions and accommodations, including upscale hotels, museums, and governmental buildings. Translating as "Ladies' Street," the road got its current name when several important noblewomen moved to the city and would walk down the street of an evening. Its architectural highlights and the main plaza have been UNESCO-listed to protect the whole of the downtown colonial area. • It is a must see. A real feel for the history of the city. We enjoyed the walk along the street as well as dropping in on the Panteon De La Patria. At the top of the street there is a nice view.
