    Whatever you do bring U.S $ or Visa. Nowhere takes Mastercard I found out a bit too late... I mean NOWHERE. If you run short of funds you'll need to have someone wire money to Western Union and go...

    It is not easy to find in Timor gift to bring back to Europe. I luckily stooped at to the Things & Stories shop at Dili Airport. Just nice to get few products before flying off!

    Best art and craft shop in Timor-Leste. Big choice from all districts of Timor. Tais, the local fabric, books, even some nice local ginger sweets. Bags, local music and more. Staff is really cool, and know stories about all objects.

    Good place to buy some Timorese artefacts. They have some really pretty tais. Prices a little bit higher than normal, but you do end up with some quality stuff. I bought some artefacts as a gift and the lady at the counter was kind enough to do the wrapping.
