Create an itinerary including Las Grietas
Swim in crystal clear waters surrounded by craggy rock walls at Las Grietas. You'll find plenty of incredible nature on the path to the relatively hidden swimming spot, which you can reach by crossing a rocky lava field and walking by a cactus forest, before finally descending to the cool waters. Jump off the rock platform to make a splash, or grab your snorkel to check out the mysteries that lie beneath the surface. Don't forget to wear a pair of water-appropriate shoes, as the path can be extremely painful in bare feet. • This was a nice experience. It's US$10 per person, the guide gives you lots of information along the walk, then you have 45mins to play in the water.
  • Not super special, but a nice side trip if you have free day on Santa Cruz. I found it well worth it.
  • My second favourite place in Santa Cruz! (First Tortuga Bay). This time they opened a new grieta so there are 2 Grietas now. Still amazing to visit!
  • Very beautiful. Get there early like 8-9 in the morning and you will have the grietas just for you (and your group), don't forget your snorkeling gear. Feel free to go with the Spanish group even if you don't talk Spanish. The informations are not really important. We thought it's good to have some Informations in English and we just waited an hour for an English guide. Yep. No. Just go there pay 10$ and have a good swim/snorkeling experience.
  • Did the bay tour and the 10 $ entry with a guide was already included. Definitely take your snorkelling gear with you. Best is to go there in the late morning/around lunch for the sun rays to hit the water - amazing underwater views!
