Create an itinerary including Puerto Chino Beach
Make your way to the southeast of San Cristobal island to reach Puerto Chino Beach, a remote beach with a variety of winged and flippered inhabitants. The fine white sand offers plenty of space to stretch out, while the calm water makes the beach a popular place to go swimming. In the mangroves that lie just behind the sand, you'll see finches, who'll be very keen to share any snacks you might have. The rocky outcrops to the left and right of the sandy beach are home to sea lions, though you should definitely not share any snacks with them, as they become very territorial when approached or spooked. • If you're going to do a Kicker Rock tour, try to get on a tour that has a stop at Puerto Chino. I don't think you could get here any other way, and it is very tranquil.

  • Beautiful beach with soft, golden sand and clear blue water. There are no facilities but that's probably why it's not crowded.

  • White sand and gorgeous clear water! we enjoyed our walk to get to the beach but be warned that the uphill hike back can be challenging.

  • The water here is a stunning with the contrasting black rocks, and you can climb up for a nice little view. There are a few sea lions too! It seemed a little rough to swim.
  • Went here by taxi ($60 for tour that includes La Galapaguera, El Junco and Puerto Chino). Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best as it was raining (and cold) at end of June but the view was amazing.
  • Nice remote beach where the sand is different than the beaches in town. Arrange a $60 round-trip tour with your cab driver to include stops in Junco Lake and the Giant tortoise sanctuary. The cab driver will also wait for you for an hour or two while you enjoy the beach. Bring Bug spray because there are green flies that are aggressive and bite you when you get out from swimming in the water. They're attracted to the salt deposits on your body from the ocean and they're annoying
  • You can be in the beach with cute seo lions everywhere. It's a must see.
  • Nice remote beach where you can spot blue-footed boobys at the top of the "hill". Seals and lizards are everywhere at the beach. Nice spot here.
