  • Coptic Cairo is a day of touring in itself. This museum is a great starting point before you see the other sights to help put everything in context. Well worth a visit. The displays were nicely...

  • Egypt is a land of several civilizations - Ancient Egyptian (Pharao), Grecian, Roman, Christian, and Islamic. This museum contains elements and artifacts of the middle three.

  • My wife and I visited this historical delight and had the opportunity to take in the history and the culture. A short trip from downtown provides this escape.

  • Worthwhile even for non-Christians. The building itself is already worth the 100 EGP entry fee, and the museum has some nice pieces. I found the art combining Coptic, Egyptian and Greek in one especially fascinating. Easily combined with the (free) Hanging Church next door, and quickly accessible through metro line 1. Highly recommended!
  • Lovely place to visit. A huge variety of Coptic artefacts from different time periods. Unfortunately, the museum was not air conditioned however you could feel that it is actually a little bit colder than outside. Most things have descriptions in English and French alongside Arabic. Be sure to arrive there early as its working hours are quite short. The museum has two floors and its beautifully carved in stone and wood.
  • An amazing collection of Coptic art from Christianity and ancient Egypt history. All are allowed to visit. Ticket price currently is 20 EGP. The security at the main gate will check your ID before entering. Everyone is polite and respectful regardless of what your actual religion is.
  • The Coptic Museum The Coptic Museum contains the world's largest collection of Coptic artifacts and artwork. Coptic monuments display a rich mixture of Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman traditions, linking ancient and Islamic Egypt. The objects are grouped into different mediums, such as stonework, woodwork, metalwork, textiles and manuscripts. The total number of objects on display is around 15,000 objects.
  • The Coptic Museum contains Copt Art from paintings, jewellery, illustrated books, wood beams. The museum is well curated and beautiful. If you love wood carvings and detailed art that links between Greek and Egyptian history it’s a great place. And also built around the Fortress of Babylon. It costs 100EP.
