  • A very small museum to visit while you are in the city. It is not well maintained and should take you 20 minutes to go through.

  • In a structure built in a design influenced by Egyptian Greco-Roman architecture, the Ismailia Museum first opened its doors in 1932. A vast and exquisitely preserved Roman floor mosaic from the third century B.C. is just one of the collection's 4,000 or so items from the Pharaonic and Graeco-Roman periods that stand out. Statuary and stelae are displayed in an outdoor gallery that is a stunning landscape. Arabic and English are used on labels.
  • We visited this place on the fourth of February. We had a quick and easy entrance, followed by a warm welcome from the museum staff. The museum has artifacts that feature prehistoric times in Egypt, through Greek and Roman Civilization, Islamic and Coptic history and Ancient Egyptian history and it was more than we expected! Special thanks to Mr Ahmed Ismail, who explained each artifact in interesting detail. Our thanks to all of you, for an amazing tour. We’ve never had such a great reception before in any other museum. Highly recommend for when you’re in Ismalia
  • A small and very intimate museum with some interesting museum objects. Particularly noteworthy is the beautiful mosaic on the floor, numerous ceramics from different eras and regions (in the photo from Greece), interesting sculptures and several Coptic icons.
  • Wonderful museum that has many monuments from different ages especially ancient Egyptian.
  • Nice museum, we have enjoyed the experience the place is full of statues. Highly recommend.
