One of the most famous Ancient Egyptian sites, Tomb of King Tutankhamun (Tut) has inspired myth and legend in the modern era, and now forms part of the World Heritage-listed Theban Necropolis. The boy king's tomb was discovered in 1922 by Egyptologist Howard Carter, and its wealth of gold and riches--meant to travel with King Tut into the afterlife--are now on display in a museum in Cairo. Step into the burial chamber to examine wall decorations depicting King Tut's passage into the underworld, where he is welcomed by Osiris. Unlike many other tombs in the Valley of the Kings, this one remained largely intact, and the subsequent deaths of those who excavated it gained widespread media attention for the "curse of the pharaohs." I remained speechless visiting the tomb of King Tut. The walls still have the majority of the paintings and signs, very beautifully lighted and the presence of the mummy put this place on top of others, also the presence of one of the sarcophagi raise more the interest for this place. May the mummy rest in peace!

This is the most famous tomb ever discovered in the Valley of the Kings, a place where I have dreamed to arrive since I was a child. It is preferable to be visited in November, almost in autumn more than in spring, not in the summer. I went there in the beginning of October and in the middle of the day the sun was very scorching. Here must be paid another entrance ticket, this is not included in the three tombs ticket of the Valley of the Kings.

Nothing spectacular as it is just one chamber with well preserved wall paintings and the king who is not that famous throughout history, but famous simply because its tomb was found unintacked. All in all not worth the 300 EGP to go inside, unless you are real fan of the small kid king.
-
The Tomb is one of the easiest to visit, the shaft is the shortest compared to the others. Beautiful vivid colors on the walls.
-
King Tuts tomb located in the Valley of the Kings contains the body of the King and beautiful Hieroglyphics. One of the many must see tombs in the Valley if the Kings. Unique scenes including baboons which symbolize birth, death and rebirth.
