  • Many people will know the name Fiskars from the high-quality cutlery, knives and secateurs that are commonly found in the shops in England. The name is taken from what was originally a small site...

  • A riverside ironworks was founded here in 1649. Nowadays this Fiskars Village in Fiskari (Raasepori) is full of design boutiques, smithies, restaurants etc. You even find some hotels, a lookout...

  • we were gutted to miss out on this museum because it’s not open on Mondays and Tuesdays. We did however get to look at some of the history of the place at the scissor shop instead

  • Such a nice, quaint museum in a 2-story building. The entrance said $4/adult but the museum employee didn't charge us. The museum has a great deal of information on the village's iron and factory life. The second floor is more interactive and the kids were able to play on the old typewriter, phone and play with some costumes. Totally worth a visit!
  • Visited Fiskars with family. Nice place to visit for day trip to take you to memory and historical timeline. The meusuem also displays different forms and history of knitting, stiching, weaving, knots and also shows the old documention from 1940s. Currently there is an Art and Design Display going on from 22.05 till 04.09 showing up the latest small house designs which is also the need of the recent times of calamities. So go visit and enjoy your day trip to Fiskars and shop around if you want to buy it.
  • Great price for the quality exhibition. They keep everything from a long time a go and organize them well so that they don't look like a bunch of mess from the past. I really felt the old atmosphere with the smell of wood and the sound of the music. They also have option for student, so don't forget to bring your student card with you. They said the audio guide was available but I couldn't use it. Fiskars museum may be the most worth visiting place in Fiskars as there are not many things to do in the village.
  • Place worth to see. Sad though, some models about the history of Fiskars, displayed few years ago within the second and third room of the shop, are not available anymore for the public. It seems, that busines is more important than history.
  • Interesting presentation on both Fiskars the village and business
