  • Best visiting harbour in the Gulf of Finland region. In the harbour you are welcomed by a navigation light flashing ÖRÖ in Morse code.

  • Amazing place for hiking in Saaristomeri national park. The access is very easy from Kasnäs harbour with Wilson Charter, so there's no need for a boat. Nature is very diverse from beaches to forests.....  more

  • Great experience! Autumn is a beautiful time to explore Örö island. We recommend to stay minimum 1 night - there's so much to see and you want to reserve some time to admire the spectacular scenery.....  more

  • Örö is a beautiful and quiet island in the Archipelago National park. Ferry from Kasnäs takes an hour and you can stay in hotel, hostels, small cabins, in your boat or just camp. Lunch buffet, a la carte menu and harbor’s burgers and artisan pizza are decent. They even have an espresso machine! Örö has a fascinating history as a coastal artillery garrison and unique flora and scenery. The buildings are renovated with finesse. The sauna right next to harbor is brand new with a swimming dock and good public hours in the morning from 8 to 10am and in the evening from 4 to 8pm. You can either hire a bicycle or just stroll around the island. I am impressed how the friendly staff is doing the utmost to make your visit worthwhile. Örö is where you absolutely do not have to do anything. And the fact that you can see the legendary Bengtskär lighthouse in the horizon is just one more reason to visit the island again. Love it!
  • Extremely beautiful island with a guest harbour for 80 boats and also ferry service and accomodation in hotel, hostel, cabins or camping. Sand beaches, a hanging bridge, interesting history and amazing sunsets. I recommend to spend atleast a few days and rent a bike to see the whole island.
  • Nice place, but marina is not big enough for visitors
  • Great natural spot with about 15 military bunkers to discover and 2 x 5km routes to treck. Theres free sauna twice a day! Ship from Kasnäs is easy and costs just 13eur. The spot was opened couple of years ago so everything is new.
  • Beautiful small island with old military facilities, marina, cafe and sauna. Nice walking trails and beaches 🏖
