    Beautiful little park built in 1988 to exhibit some local plants and flowers.

    In 1988, the Department of Plant Breeding of the University of Helsinki launched a research project aiming to develop durable and desease-free azalea varieties with abundant flowers. More than 300 azaleas were planted in the Fuksinpuisto Park as part of the research project in 1996.
