Create an itinerary including Cours Mirabeau
A wide, bustling boulevard, Cours Mirabeau stretches 440 m (1,500 ft) long and 42 m (130 ft) wide. It has a number of cafes, some more than 100 years old, which were once visited by Nobel laureate Albert Camus. The street's wide sidewalks are planted with double rows of trees. Cool off at the fountains, the largest of which, La Rotonde, lies at one end of the street. The street divides Aix into two portions, the Quartier Mazarin, or the "new town," which extends to the south and west, and the Ville Comtale, the "old town," which lies to the north. Wander from the boulevard to the old town's wide streets and old French mansions dating from the 16th century.
