St-Leu has a reputation for spectacular surfing and for hosting surf competitions including the World Qualifying Series (WQS) and the ASP World Tour. Paragliding World Cup races were held in Saint-Leu in 2003 and 2006, and the Pre World Cup Tour race was held in 2010. This area is world-famous for its left wave, and you can learn to paraglide at the paragliding base at Colimaçons. Remember to look for urchins, sharks, and fire coral in the surf.
