  • It’s an interesting church for its size and location. It’s big but inside it’s devoid of the many religious artifacts you’d find in other parts of France.

  • Spent 2 days in Annecy and visiting most churches there. Church of St.Francis had loads if character. It is not as ornate but has a history worth exploring.

  • Monuments beside the water/canal are beautiful. It's near the Anncey's landmark
  • The church is located next to the canal flowing into the lake Annecy. Beautiful church understated on the outside but full on inside, great position.
  • The church was built in 1614 in baroque style. It housed the tombs of Juana de Chantal and Francisco de Sales, which were later moved to the Basilica of the Visitation. During the French Revolution, the church was transformed into a factory. In 1923 it was handed over to the religious and restored in 2003. From the stairs at the entrance you can see the pleasant atmosphere around the Palais de l'lle.
  • The distinction of this simple white church paled in comparison with the rest of the colourful buildings nearby the vicinity. However, I was astounded as the interior looked more elegant than the exterior which has a refreshing feeling compared to others.
  • Attended a choral concert & really enjoyed the acoustics. The church was totally packed. A great evening. Thank you and thank you St Francios de Sales.
