Château de l'Islette, Azay-le-Rideau

It had beautiful grounds to enjoy. People were sitting under the trees and just enjoy being there. There was a group of children dressed up in medical wear looking like little princess and boys dressed up ready to fight the enemy forces. The grounds and castle were impressive. The church had some nice stained glass windows. The grounds with the Loire river was beautiful and the reflections in the water was great for a photo shoot. The castle had beautifully designed wood beam ceilings. Great fireplace and paintings above.

Lovely château for a short visit. We took a pic nic and relaxed in the shade of the trees. Our little one enjoyed seeing the fish in the river and going in a row boat. He also loved being able to borrow a costume and pretend to be a Knight There is a small play area and a few animals.

Great castle little castle who look like little bit Ussé it’s own by a family and they still live in the castle.easy to park then beautiful garden with a river in the front. The inside it’s modern and hold with a touch of craziness. The bathroom is extravaganza !! Little bar outside and possible to rent a small boat. Great vidit with friendly staff.

What a beautiful maintained castle! 🏰The special thing is, it is inhabited. You don't see many signs of that until you reach the kitchen. Beautiful blend of both worlds. Check out the official daughter's room, it has the most amazing wallpaper 😍 Outside you can bring or buy food and picnic near the river. On hot days it is the best place to find some shadow.

Heavenly peaceful place. Go see it before any other château in the region. You may also be lucky enough to encounter the gracious Chatelaine whose touch you feel everywhere in and around the château!
