Create an itinerary including Cathedrale Saint-Pierre
Cathedrale Saint-Pierre is an incomplete Roman Catholic cathedral. It is considered a daring achievement of Gothic architecture and consists of only a 16th century transept and a choir with seven 13th century polygonal apsidal chapels. Several chapels still contain their original medieval stained glass windows made during the 13th through 15th centuries. You can see a medieval clock from the 14th or 15th century that is likely the oldest fully preserved and functioning mechanical clock in Europe. Make Cathedrale Saint-Pierre a centerpiece of your Beauvais vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Beauvais online trip builder.

  • An interesting building, in that it collapsed several times, was never finished and has one end just apparently cut off. In a pretty square, with cafes and restaurants dotted around and right next...

  • Wow what a magnificent cathedral. Awesome to visit and marvel at the construction which has stood for centuries. I have to say this that one need’s to behave and dress in a respectful manner as in any place of worship. There is a souvenir shop here and it’s wheelchair 🦽 accessible there are no toilets here. Well worth a visit when your journey takes you to or through Beauvais.
  • My first visit to see this beautiful 'unfinished' Cathedral. Stained Glass amazing post 1940 replacements very complimentary, highly recommend a visit
  • Absolutely stunning cathedral, the super tall roof and just the feeling of the place, you feel tiny, really amazing, its worth coming here from a distance for sure, can highly recommend seeing this beautiful cathedral, to bad we came abit late, would have liked to see more and in sunshine its stained glass would probably even look better 🤓👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊🎉🎉🎉🎉
  • I was really surprised how damaged and of weak structure this building is. It may have the highest ceiling but architectural it's a mess. Metal to support the weak structure everywhere on the outside. Massive wooden support constructions in the inside. The entire building describes the weird wish to have the biggest cathedral without considering aestetical aspects. If you wish to see a perfect cathedral, I would suggest visiting Amiens.
  • Undoubtedly one of the most stunning cathedrals we have ever seen, worth visiting Beauvais just to see it
