Trip Planner: Europe / France / Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur / French Riviera - Cote d'Azur / Cagnes-sur-Mer / Eglise St Pierre & Paul
Nestled by the sea in the center of an old fishing district, Eglise St Pierre & Paul offers respite from heat and tourist crowds in the summer. Its massive bell tower stands proudly in the middle of a busy area packed with shops and restaurants. Yellow by day and neon-lit by night, this small but charming church was built in the 19th century. Take time to notice frescoes and stained glass windows behind the altar. At the nearby market, you can buy fresh fruit and seafood. Eglise St Pierre & Paul reviews
Definitely worth a visit. Lovely art work, very serene and has details of the recent restoration works. A lovely place to sit for a while and soak up the atmosphere.

Serine and beautiful, Before and after pictures of restoration. Take a seat, relax and thank God for what you have.

This is one of the most particular churches I've ever seen: you enter from above and then go down a staircase to go into the two naves that the church has. It is surprising. To visit absolutely. DESCRIPTION The current church dates from the 18th century. Very simple facade, preceded by a wooden canopy. The interior is divided into 2 naves, neoclassical style with 18th century works and frescoes. Free admission.
Very nice church. The entrance is near a vault, not far from the bell tower and the church is semi buried. Beautiful building well worth a visit
Located in the old cagnes, the Saint Pierre Saint Paul church is particular, it is on two levels, with the possibility of entering by the floor because the surrounding streets are quite steep. A shuttle from the seaside can get you there.
Remarkably amazing! And nestled in the hollow of old Cagnes-sur-Mer, with its narrow, flowery streets. Be careful, to enjoy the alleys and its meanders, to discover the artists there, you have to climb! But you can choose the descent starting from the Grimaldi castle 😉
Very atypical church half underground. To see it is so surprising!
