  • I am very keen to visit and pay due respects at these wonderfully maintained war graves and this one was no exception...it is situated several miles outside of the centre in a very peaceful hamlet.

  • My wife and I had the privilege of accompanying my Grandfather to retrace his WWII Normandy landing. Landing at Sword beach his objective was to take Caen. He didn't make it to Caen as he took a hit in nr Cambes Wood which ended his war. He wanted to return and pay his respects to his pals who were less fortunate than him. The War cemetery at Cambes-en-Plaine is peaceful, ensuring the incredible effort and bravery of the 3rd Division and the Royal Ulster Rifles will never be forgotten.
  • Thank you for your sacrifice I hope it will never be forgotten
  • Too good in life to be forgotten in death Row E 13.
  • RESPECT TO YOU ALL WHO GAVE US A LIFE TO LIVE THANK YOU
  • Located 6 kilometers from Caen, this small British military cemetery contains the remains of 224 soldiers who fought for the liberation of Caen in 1944 (July and August). The epitaphs engraved on the tombstones are particularly moving.
