  • Brilliant short break in Carcassonne. Lots to see and experience. Amazing walks, super restaurants and great music. The atmosphere is very special and the quantity of attractions quite unique.

  • The site itself is impressive and we enjoyed the views as we walked from the old town area across the bridge to it. Inside the walls it was very touristy for us (a "mature" couple) but could see it more enjoyable for families with all the shops geared for them. There are a large number of restaurants so one should be able to find one that suits your needs.
  • Such a lovely place to visit, steeped in history, breathtakingly beautiful and wonderful restaurants, places to drink, get a coffee - and of course, don't forget to look around the town too - really nice! Parking is great up by the castle, however I imagine in the summertime you would be lucky to find a space. If you don't mind an extra 10-15min walk, there is plenty of parking at the bottom of the hill in the very safe, clean and incredibly reasonable underground carparks.
  • An incredible restored ancient walled city that is definitely worth the time to stop and explore - an hour or two would suffice - or make a special trip to visit. Many stores and restaurants are closed due to the lack of tourists stemming from the ongoing pandemic which makes it easy to find parking and extra good service in the locations which remain open.
  • What an amazing place with amazing views and vibes. Quite easy to reach castle in toy train also main entry is free but we have to pay to get inside a museum inside castle so plan your day if you want to enjoy more time inside. Loads of souvenirs to buy inside and also lots of restaurants which offer great food... Overall i would love to comeback anytime 😀😍
  • Lovely castle to spend a day at, walking around the ramparts in the inner keep etc. Lots of places to eat and drink as well as the usual souvenir shopping. Dogs are allowed but not in the central area and of course not on the ramparts which are via ticket only anyway so be warned. Lovely view from the castle walls.
