Chateau de Chantilly site has two attached buildings: the Petit Château built around 1560 and the Grand Château that was destroyed during the French Revolution and rebuilt in the 1870s. The château is home to the Musée Condé, one of the finest art galleries in France. It features French paintings and book illuminations from the 15th and 16th centuries including Botticelli's "Autumn" and Raphael's "Three Graces" and "Madonna of Loreto." The formal garden features extensive parterres and water features, while the French landscape garden has a cascade, pavilions, and a rustic ersatz village. One of the most beautiful chateau I have ever visited. Highlight to the incredible amount of pieces of art inside the chateau. I felt that I had a double experience: a chateau and an art museum at same time! Be ready to walk a lot, by the way. The area around the main building is beautiful and huge. Plan to stay at least 4 hours here (and feel free to bring your food to do a picnic in the beautiful garden if the weather allows).

An amazing place! We've visited in Christmas day, and even then we've found a lot of people. Amazing view, everything is in perfect shape, tidy, the castle inside is amazing. I've admired the library. We'll visit it once again in spring to see outside beauty. Great fountains and swans in the lakes!

Fantastic french castle. the architecture is amazing and super well conserved. It's clean and the interior just as the exterior parts are interesting. Gardens were a bit dead but it's seasonal of course. Overall, it's a really nice Sunday runaway !

It’s absolutely stunning! One of the most beautiful castles I have ever seen. The architecture, the history, the grounds,… simply magnificent. If you can, take the time to stroll through the grounds and the adjacent village. They’re so, so beautiful! Totally worth it!

A truly beautiful estate. Well worth the visit. The outside grounds are just as beautiful as the actual château with stunning gardens rich in wildlife and history. I'd recommend comfortable walking shoes and plenty of water. You won't regret it
