Musee Du Costume, Chateau Chinon

Only when I arrived I found out this museum is closed, there is a paper stuck on the door saying that the place is closed until 2022. The building looks totally run down. Actually the whole town is totally run down and not nice at all. Not worth a visit at all. It is actually shocking that people live like this in a western country.

This small museum is magnificent...the duration is about 45min. The costumes are beautifully well preserved. There are costumes worn by stars like Rihanna or Lady Gaga...I recommend it. The prices are perfectly affordable.

On arrival at the museum, the atmosphere is given by the welcome of a person who obviously loves his job, courtesy in person, all smiles, which tells you with a tone more pleasant (irony when you wish) that you are at the costume museum (no kidding ??). The visit given at one hour is done in 15 minutes (and again ...) in the darkness which causes you a bad being and gives the place a rather gloomy atmosphere. Costumes can be cured, and we are still looking for costumes "of our time" ... The museum has certainly not been updated since the year 1800 ... In short 4euro, expensive visit ...
