Domaine of Villarceaux is a spectacular French château with a water garden and a park. It has been classified as an historic monument of France and is used for concerts and cultural events. Here you will be able to witness a rare 18th century ornamental feature called farthingale (French: vertugadin) that is modeled after the hoop skirts of the same century. The farthingale is surrounded by statutes imported from Italy. The gardens were built to protect France from the British. Interestingly, you will get a glimpse of the medieval fortifications in the park. You can enjoy a completely free entry to the site on certain days as specified on the website. Amazing garden Free of charge

The place is not that clean, there's a lot of poop everywhere, the pond is all green and smells unpleasant on some areas. however, it's a place for relaxing so bring a picnic cloth as u like but I won't stay for long.

Visiting this chateau and gardens makes for a very nice couple of hours. The gardens are beautiful, with large ponds, hills, and a nice little walk among a medieval garden with aromatic herbs. The chateau itself is a nice change from the outdoors walk, but nothing spectacular. The fact that entrance is free is a nice plus.
