Create an itinerary including Moet et Chandon
One of the world's largest and most prominent of champagne producers, Moet et Chandon was established in 1743 by Claude Moët. Dom Pérignon, acquired in 1930 from Mercier Champagne, is vintage champagne that is only made in the best year of harvested grapes with 60 percent Chardonnay and 40 percent Pinot Noir grapes.

Today this vineyard and winery owns more than 1,000 hectares (2,500 acres) of land and annually produces approximately 26,000,000 bottles of champagne. This winery is owned under the label Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH) and holds a Royal Warrant to supply champagne to Queen Elizabeth II.

You can tour Moët & Chandon’s historic buildings and subterranean labyrinth of cellars, the largest in the Champagne region, spanning 28 km (17.4 mi). Advanced bookings for the tour are necessary and include either one flute tasting of champagne or two with the upgraded tour. • Great place to visit and observe the process and view the cellars. Had some tastings and purchases. Well narrated and interesting walk at avenue de champagne.

  • We visited 4 champagne cellars in Reims and Epernay. Moet et Chandon was the most disappointing tour in terms of both tour and tasting. The building was pretty and large & that’s all. Our guide...

  • Thoroughly enjoyed discovering the Heritage and History of Champagne making in this world renowned establishment. The tour was very instructive and worth our time. We especially like the Imperial Rosé tasting at the end. And thanks to Letizia for her clear and knowledgeable explanations. A must see/taste!
  • Great experience of wine testing, €35 per person including 2 glasses of Moët classic and rose imperial champagne. Wonderful tour to amazing wine cellar. Tour took about 1 hr 30 mins. Recommend if you want to have a great experience and know more about the history of Moët champagne.
  • Amazing place to visit. I was here with a trade tour and managed to see some of the back of house space. Really beautiful house. The garden is just outstanding and the cellars are intriguing. If you know about champagne production the all place is even more impressive as they are able to deliver high quality products at large volumes year on year. Superb.
  • We enjoyed a lovely visit to this champagne house. Beautiful reception, shop and tasting room. We had the most wonderful, enthousiastic and funny tour guide, Lilly, who guided us through the history and production process and Anna who gave some explanation during the tasting. Compared to other champagne houses we didn't see much of the actual production line, but we highly recommend this must-do tour.
  • This is a must see if you are in the area. They are also open on Sunday and have tours until 15:00 in French and English. Lily was a great guide very enthusiastic and full of knowledge. We learned about the heritage of the brand, the area, the production, storage and ended with a tasting or the traditional and rose for €35. The tour and tasting lasted around 2 hours and ended at the gift shop.
