Create an itinerary including Palais Benedictine
The half-Renaissance, half-Gothic Palais Benedictine embodies the glory of Bénédictine, an herbal liqueur based on brandy. The flamboyant palace is marked by an iconic bell tower. Inside, more than 1,000 volumes transcribed by monks fill the library shelves in the Gothic room. The Renaissance room holds keys from the collection of Alexandre Le Grand that date back to the 14th century. The gallery conducts temporary exhibits of contemporary art, featuring artists like Warhol and Dali. You can book a guided or self-guided tour of the opulent facilities, and sign up for a liqueur tasting. Plan your visit to Palais Benedictine and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Fecamp itinerary planning app.

  • Interesting visit. Amazing building and museum, followed by another really interesting visit of the distillery and cellars and then finally a tasting. English language tours available. Do I like Bendictine? I don't know, but I remember my parents had a bottle in the 70s, so I bought one.
  • This is a fascinating distillery with a fascinating history. Benedictine is a recipe from Venice that contains 27 herbs and is used as a medical tincture. During the French Revolution, the monks were expelled from the monastery, and a family connected with the monks' financing discovered the recipe in a book and began producing it again. Akexandre Le Grand was a wine merchant and a brilliant marketer, and his sales skyrocketed. The distillery, which is now owned by Bacardi, continues to produce the liqueur. The alcohol is sucked into large tankers and transported to a bottling plant.
  • Wow ! Such a surprise. We stumbled upon the beautiful Palais by chance and loved it. If you want to visit in summer, better book online though
  • The building itself is already astonishing, such a pity that we were not able to visit inside due to the lunch break, will definitely go next time to explore.
  • The Abby is incredible. The ceiling detail etc...all spectacular.
