Trinity Abbey (Abbey de la Trinite) is best known as the first producer of Bénédictine, an herbal liqueur. Founded in the 11th century by the Duke of Normandy, the abbey was built using the distinct cream-colored stone of Caen. In the scriptorium, see the illuminated manuscripts the monks produced under the Plantagenet. Two Norman rulers from the 11th century were originally buried outside and later interred in the Gothic abbey church. You can still view their burial plots in the northern chapel. • Absolutely stunning. A quiet escape during a busy day with a range of architecture and artistic expressions. Both Richard and Richard II are buried here for any fans of Vikings.

  • Although the facade suggests otherwise, this is actually an early gothic church, with an impressive size. Currently the building is undergoing restauration, so part of the interior os closed off, and....  more

  • Very beautiful and imposing abbey in the historic center of FÉCAMP. Beautiful on the outside (despite its sobriety/severity) and beautiful on the inside. Do not miss the tomb of the first dukes of Normandy. They rest here. Lots to discover/see inside
  • This cathedral impresses with its light-flooded lightness. She is in good condition and for me a highlight in Normandy. A visit is definitely worth it! In addition, here is the historical clock that even shows the level of the tide.
  • Beautiful Abbey. To visit. Watch the news online!!! Beautiful place. Easy to park.
  • Very pretty but difficult to take a picture because too many buildings around
  • An emblematic place of Fécamp. A luminous abbey church, a real place of contemplation. Visits are regularly organized by the Heritage House to learn more about its history. Must do 🙂
