Wow! What a determination and passion to build his dream place. There are so many details. You can spend hours looking around. Jean-Michel Othoniel's exhibition was great too.

This is an amazing experience. Walking through one man’s artistic vision is impressive. There is a nice movie about his life you can watch and other artist’s work that are homages to Ferdinand Cheval. You should also to a few moments and go to the cemetery where he built another structure because they wouldn’t allow him to be buried on site.

What a gift to literally walk into someone's dream! This surreal construction awakened the child in me as well as what it means to be dedicated to something . The combination with Othoniel's work is perfect . I suggest going whilst still there . Consider from 0:45 to 2:30 to visit the place (depending on your sensitivity) There is also grass and benches to rest and hang around . Bars and glaciers just outside the premises. Enjoy!

An extremely unique "palace", you have to see it with your own eyes. Truly weird styles and details used by a single man to build this incredible place for 33 years.

It’s worthwhile to visit this attraction and enjoy the small, peaceful villages nearby. This man is amazing to dedicate his 33 years for building an art work which gives benefits for the town’s government and brings a lots of works for the village as well as the enjoyment for the visitors.
