Pont de Normandie, Honfleur

Fantastic looking bridge, looks scary to cross from a distance, but is fine actually! Some gret views as you cross, better to be a passenger!

A nice bridge to use, with a view of the Seine. The toll booths are on the northern side of the bridge, cash payment is about 5.80€, so not unreasonable

Pont de Normandie connects Le Havre on the north with Honfleur at the south. It spans the Seine estuary with the English channel. The bridge is pretty long, in fact there two parts - one over a smaller Seine canal and then over the Seine. As you might expect there's a higher toll (some 5, 6 Euros) to cross, but worth it for the views and saving your time.

Works fine by bike. Just DO NOT USE the bike lane. Use the side walk. If you’re scared by heights, push your bike and don’t look down. But fine to walk, even in strong wind. The cars’ noises are scary and the wind is, but one gets used to it.

Connecting the cities of Honfleur in Calvados and Le Havre in Seine-Maritime, the Normandy Bridge (Pont de Normandie) is a perfect reflection of French civil engineering expertise. With a length of 2,141 metres, it spans the Seine estuary and is one of the largest cable-stayed bridges in the world! Equipped with 184 cables, it consists of access viaducts, two 214-metre-high pylons and an 856-metre-long central span. From the road bridge, which is also accessible to pedestrians and cyclists, there are numerous viewpoints over the estuary, offering a whole range of landscapes and colours depending on the time of day.
