  • One of the best museums I visited. Beautifully laid out. Fantastic art curators. We learnt a lot throughout the visit. Kids (6 to 15) loved it. We were all mesmerised by the machine's mechanism. It was so interesting to learn more about these workshops and this specific trade. Will go again.
  • I really like these 'themed' museums. This one celebrates fancy goods, mainly mother of pearl buttons and fans, with other shell creations. The machinery looks as if it is just a sit was when the factory closed and there is a sort of intimate cosy feel to the place. Worth a visit!
  • If you stay in Meru that probably best place to stay. Restaurant have excelent food.
  • Really fascinating tour showing the pulley-operated machines. The museum is well thought out, good design.
