Domaine Albert Seltz, Mittelbergheim

Went to this winery today and it was the most informative experience I have ever had. The winery is absolutely beautiful, the wine is excellent and Albert was so fun and so knowledgeable. I learned all about what it means to be organic wine. Bought several bottles to bring home and will be ordering more. We took a tour from our Viking River Cruise and highly recommend it.

Best visit ever done in Alsace! Albert is so prepared and engaging, he explained his philosophy to us - in how he respect the “terroir” and how he produce his wine. Hos cave is a museum where you can see the hystory of his family and his wine.

Albert Seltz taught us about organic winemaking and how to be interesting. We learned alot! His wines are incomparable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tasting experience. All thanks to Albert. He made us feel so welcome, even though we did not make advance booking. Nonetheless, he warmly welcomed us and walked us through his range of white wines and gave us a private tour of his cellar and even his underground Golf driving range. His white wines are really good. Now we are more knowledgeable about pairing wine with food. We bought several bottles. Will certainly recommend all to visit his winery. First class winery.

What a great tour. Our Viking River Cruise stopped here. So glad we did this extra excursion. Owner operator gave us a guided tour and tasting. No nonsense guy with a dry wit. Taught us about the wine and helped us taste it in a way that we could understand. Bought a few bottles to take home. The village the vineyard was in was very quaint and picturesque. A must do.
