  • The St. Peters Church stands by your left hand side while climbing towards the Abbey. It's about at the half of the way and you recognize it by Joan the Arc statue in front. Nice stained glass inside.

  • The church was founded in the 8th century by Saint Aubert, to serve as a burial place (on the south side of the church is the cemetery). From the Romanesque period, the church preserves in particular the pillars of the impost at the entrance of the choir. It is dedicated to St. Peter, also note that on both sides of the entrance to the chapel of Saint Michel are St. Aubert and St. Roch, are wooden statues of the seventeenth century
  • It is a beautiful place to light candles and pray.
  • A small church serving the village of Mont St Michel, with beautiful stained glass windows and accessible cemetery. There is a little "gift shop" at the back. This church still runs services so may be closed some times.
  • Walking up to the abbaye you will come along the parish church St. Pierre on your left hand side, a few steps away. Dating back to 11th century, you will find a small nave and a side altar with a statue of St. Michael in silver blade, fighting a dragon. A baptism font can be found in the back. Leaving the church on the opposite side, you will get to a cemetary, where priests and a sculpture have found their final rest.
  • So amazing! My family and I enjoyed touring, eating lunch, and taking pictures of this beautiful place.
