  • The Castle is beautiful. The streets are narrow and full of tourists, but worth visiting! The walk towards the Castle and towers takes 45 minutes from the parking.
  • Built in the 16th century by order of Gabriel du Puy, the Gabriel tower defended the west side of the Mount. Inside, protected by thick walls, the cannons, arranged on three floors, could fire in all directions through flared loopholes to the outside. This great bastion could have withstood a siege by itself.
  • Get your cameras ready—this place is known as the most photographed place in France. Enjoy!
  • Less busy area of Mont-San-Michele, and a great place to actually enter the island. It takes walking around on the rocks to the left, possibly not accessible at high tide, rather than going in the main entrance. Visit the chapel around the bend first before walking up the ramp by the tower.
  • A peaceful and quiet location on Mont Saint-Michel, just off the beaten path, and a perfect place to enjoy a beautiful sunset, weather permitting.
