  • The place de la Comédie is the nerve centre of Montpellier - a broad plaza that runs between the old opera hall at one end and the Esplanade Charles de Gaulle at the other. It is lined on each side...

  • One of the most beautiful afternoons spent in France was in this place in Montpellier. They had old French songs playing softly either on a guitar or a viola. People from all cultures strolled by gently. I literally couldn't move from there for hours, so I ended up eating too much. 😁
  • The heart of Montpellier with a special vibe. Lively square with impressive buildings. Many restaurants, coffee shops and bars around. This place doesn't go to sleep early. People stroll around till late hours.
  • Beautiful historic centre to start exploring Montpellier. Get the family daily transport ticket for €6.50 and enjoy getting around all of Montpellier for the day. See the bus/tram stop shelters for online details to get QR code to use. No parking or drinking/driving worries.
  • A beautiful part of Montpellier and France. This square has a lovely atmosphere at both daytime and nighttime. The many different restaurants, cafes and bars are surrounded by towering, picturesque buildings.
  • The heart of Montpellier! You’ll find lots of things happening in this square all the time especially during the weekends! I love that the town organizes many events to encourage local businesses :) you’ll also be able to access just about anything in Écusson from here
