  • Baroque facade of the Notre-Dame de Nevers chapel. You have to go back to the year 1623 to see the first stone erected. It was the future Queen of Poland, Louise-Marie de Gonzague who was the sponsor of this unique building in this region.
  • The Sainte-Marie Chapel, located rue Saint Martin, is the former church of the convent of the Visitation. It was built in the 17th century. It is distinguished by its baroque style facade, unique in Nivernais and rare in France. It is the only vestige of the Convent of the Visitation, a religious order founded in 1610 by Saint François de Sales and Saint Jeanne de Chantal. The presence of these nuns is highly criticized. Indeed they buy houses to expand and thus depopulate the street. Saint Martin Abbey then agrees to give part of its land to the nuns who can thus build the convent and the chapel. Marie de Gonzague laid the first stone of the chapel in 1639 and the monument was completed in 1643.
  • Superb chapel which is rarely open to visitors. However, it requires restoration work to restore it to its full brilliance.
  • Magnificent baroque style chapel. Strongly that it can be visited.
  • Very pretty...to see.
