A provincial baroque palace a far cry from its supposed models of Genoese style with low-quality frescoes and painting and a passable collection of musical instruments. Nothing memorable.

Worth a 15-20 minute visit. Honestly, the best view is from just outside the entrance. But, there is an interesting collection of musical instruments, and the building itself has some character.

It is a hidden jewel! We loved it! The museum has an impressive collection of baroque instruments and it is beautiful. It costs 5€ for adults and kids can go in for free. We spent a nice time looking at all the impressive details in the walls and the instruments were just amazing!

Extremely picturesque little museum in the well preserved baroque mansion of the noble Lascaris family. Beautiful collection of musical instruments spanning multiple centuries. Excellent ceiling murals in the upstairs living quarters.Well worth a visit.

Walked past this a few times until read a brochure on it then tracked if down. Don’t pass it up. It worth the visit. It’s not overly large but has a some great art work. And many musical instruments.

The Lascaris Palace is a former aristocratic residence in Nice built by the Lascaris family of Ventimiglia in the first half of the 17th century, and today a museum of old musical instruments. The Lascaris Palace is remarkable on two counts: •It houses a museum of old musical instruments that will amaze everyone. The collections are well documented and the instruments well staged. • You will also appreciate the apartments of the lascars family: first of all the vestibule of honor with the motto of the family. Then upstairs, the lounges with 17th century tapestries, painted ceilings, gilded stucco... one of the most beautiful residences with 18th century rockery furniture. Don't hesitate to ask the guide for a few explanations, who will tell you the story of this magnificent palace.

Hidden gem in the Vieux Nice. When passing by - you will think that it is just another typical edifice of this neighborhood. However when entering this humble building - you will be impressed by what you discover inside! Baroque everywhere. What a gem ! What an amazing museum. Architecture of the palais itself is terrific.
